Apple Kheer Recipe

                           

An apple a day, keeps the doctor away ! 
Hi friends, I hope you all have listened this popular phrase since childhood and it really works. But to eat the same apple daily can be a bit boring. So why not change the way how we intake it. 

Here I have come up with a very easy, intresting dessert made with apples which is tasty as well as healthy.

Lets start with recipe.


STEP 1 : Grate the apples. You can peel the skin or leave it.

STEP 2 : Heat ghee in a pan/kadhai, add the grated apples. Saute till it changes color.

STEP 3 : Add  4 chopped almonds and 4 table spoon sugar and mix properly till the sugar melts.

STEP 4 : Once its done, keep them aside.

STEP 5 : Take 2 table spoons of custard powder in a bowl and add 1.5 cup milk. Mix properly so that no lumps are formed. Keep it aside.

STEP 6 : Heat the remaining milk and allow it to boil for 5 minutes.

STEP 7 : Lower the flame, add the custurd powder dissolved in milk slowly and keep on stirring.

STEP 8 : The milk will start thickening. Tranfer it to the prepared apple puree and stir well.

STEP 9 : Add remaining sugar and allow to boil. Add cardamom powder, raisins and chopped apples.

STEP 10 : Switch off the flame. Cool it in refrigerator. Apple kheer is ready to serve.

MY TIP : You can substitute custard powder with condensed milk or khoya
